Melati Ata Grass Bag

Handwoven in Bali, the Melati is named for Jasmine, one of our favorite fragrant flowers.

She's round in shape but we flattened out the bottom so that it can be set down. 
It features top handles and is lined with plant-dyed cotton, hand-dyed just for us by local Balinese textile artist, Ade from Angin Laut Studios.
The liner can be cinched closed, forming an internal pouch to keep your valuables safe.

Due to the handmade nature of this piece, slight variations in color and size are to be expected and appreciated
This bag is smoked over coconut husks, which gives it a beautiful color.
The bag may have a slight "smoky" smell but should dissipate over time.
We've grown to love the smell and think it is a special component of the artisanal process. 
Over time bits of grass may splinter off or shed - simply clip them with nail clippers.
